At Virgule, we understand the importance of free education, especially for young people aspiring to have a career in performing arts. That’s why, for more than 10 years, we have been developing and perfecting our full scholarship program for young, motivated performers. We believe everyone has something unique to bring to the table and need only motivation and hard work to reach amazing heights – and we want to be the ones who invest in their success. With the free educational opportunities offered through our program, these 100+ students have been empowered to enter the performing industry with confidence. Not only do they gain valuable knowledge and experiences through our program – they also learn with pride that there is no greater investment than that of their own personal growth and self-awareness. Here you can see graduated students of each year.
– FIRST YEAR
Describtion
In May of 2013, a workshop was born. We put out a call for students and were blown away by the response – 150 eager applicants signed up. After a rigorous audition process, we chose only 70 lucky participants to join us for months of intensive training. The end result was a series of stunning work, including renditions of classic plays like “King Lear” and “6 Characters Looking for an Author.” But it wasn’t until we challenged them to tell their own stories that something truly amazing happened. Despite their reservations and fears, the group trusted each other enough to share their deepest and most personal experiences. Together, with the guidance of Fares Bagheri, the students turned their stories into a powerful show entitled “Let’s Keep it Between Us.” It was a night full of honesty, vulnerability, and human connection that we’ll never forget.

– SECOND YEAR
Description
The second year of Free Workshops definitely had its ups and downs.it started in May 2015, While we initially welcomed 50 enthusiastic participants, only 10 managed to stick it out until the end. Although we had hoped to create a show with them, things didn’t quite go according to plan. However, two particular individuals really stood out during this experience: Romina Davachi and Keyvan Jodeiri. In fact, they became integral members of VirguleFPAC for over five years! Despite the challenges faced, it’s wonderful to see that many of our graduates are now thriving in the world of theater, working as talented directors and production assistants and Actors. The second year of Free Workshops definitely had its ups and downs. – THIRD YEAR
Description
The third year of free workshops was a wild success! With over 550 requests to participate, it was clear that now in Tehran’s theater scene “The Free Workshops” has become a brand. Unfortunately, Virgule had to turn away many talented individuals due to limited capacity. The audition process was rigorous, but ultimately led to the selection of 50 deserving individuals. The most heartening part of the process was identifying those with raw talent who simply lacked financial resources. This program truly gives hope to those who may have previously felt shut out of professional education. Fifty bright and driven young performers were poised to take the stage, bringing a renewed energy and excitement to their company. However, unforeseeable obstacles in the form of a global pandemic and political turmoil in Iran threatened to derail their dreams. Despite these setbacks, seventeen dedicated individuals persevered through it all, working tirelessly to hone their craft and prepare for what promises to be an awe-inspiring show. Through their determination, hope springs anew, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. The third year of free workshops was a wild success!
