Virgule’s professional workshops and residencies offer specialist learning opportunities for practitioners who want to expand their knowledge on specific topics. These workshops are designed either for intermediate students or for professionals who wish to stay up-to-date with the latest methods and studies. We run workshops that serve to share expertise where this is lacking, e.g. international lighting design, dramaturgy and arts management workshops in Tehran. We also run residencies and workshops that serve to provide new perspectives for research. These are usually interdisciplinary, e.g. the relation between architecture and directing, editing and acting, anthropology in art, philosophy of art, basic knowledge of neuroscience and psychoanalysis for acting, intercultural performance, audience studies and cultural marketing. With these specialized courses, experienced professionals can gain new insights and exchange practices. 

We are open to suggestions for new research topics to set up workshops.
